Obligations of micro-entrepreneurs regarding the Training and Financial Report (BPF)

By Ludovic Rérolle · Founder, Follow Lab

If you are a micro-entrepreneur and trainer, you are required to complete a Training and Financial Report (BPF) each year.
This official document records your training activity and ensures compliance with legal requirements.
In this article, we detail your obligations, the steps to declare your BPF, and the consequences of missing the deadline.

Obligations of micro-entrepreneurs regarding the Training and Financial Report (BPF)

Are micro-entrepreneurs subject to the BPF?

Yes! As soon as you have obtained an activity declaration number (NDA) as a trainer, you are subject to the same obligations as other training organisations, regardless of your legal status.
This means that even if you are a micro-entrepreneur working alone, you must declare your BPF each year before 30 April.
Special cases:
You have an NDA number but had no activity? → You must still file a declaration with zero turnover.
You started mid-year? → You must declare your activity even if it was partial.
You ceased your activity? → You must file a final declaration before closing your NDA.

What does a micro-entrepreneur's BPF contain?

The BPF brings together several essential pieces of information about your training activity:
Number of training hours delivered,
Number of trainees trained,
Turnover generated by training,
Funding sources for your training (OPCO, CPF, self-funding, etc.).
As a micro-entrepreneur, your BPF is often simpler to complete than for a more structured training organisation, since you generally manage your activity alone.

How to complete and declare your BPF?

The BPF must be declared exclusively online, via the official Mon Activité Formation platform.
Steps to complete your BPF as a micro-entrepreneur:
1⃣ Log in to your space on Mon Activité Formation.
2⃣ Enter the mandatory information: hours, number of trainees, turnover.
3⃣ Indicate the types of funding used for your services (CPF, OPCO, direct payment, etc.).
4⃣ Review and validate your declaration before 30 April.
5⃣ Download and keep a copy of your declaration in case of an audit.

What penalties for non-declaration?

If you don't declare your BPF on time, you risk:
Suspension or removal of your activity declaration number (NDA), which will prevent you from continuing your training activity.
Ineligibility for public funding (CPF, OPCO, Pôle emploi, etc.).
Difficulties renewing your Qualiopi certification, if you have one.

How to simplify activity tracking for the BPF?

Declaring your BPF can be tedious if you don't rigorously track your training hours throughout the year. To avoid a headache in April, it's recommended to use a dedicated management tool that automatically centralises:
Your training hours,
Tracking of your trainees
Your turnover.
